Who We Are

We are two urban planners who were born and raised in the vibrant city of Detroit. Our upbringing in this diverse and dynamic environment has instilled in us a deep appreciation for the well-being of people, the richness of culture, and the importance of preserving the environment. To broaden our knowledge and gain valuable insights, we embark on both domestic and international journeys, immersing ourselves in various communities. Through these experiences, we strive to comprehend the factors that contribute to their growth and prosperity, while also deepening our understanding of how to safeguard and uplift the individuals they serve.

The Everyday Sacred

This website is a testament to our ongoing exploration of people, culture, and environments. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to a collective body of knowledge that empowers urban planners to enhance the communities they serve. By delving into various aspects of urban planning, we aim to shed light on the intricate dynamics that shape our cities and ensure that the essence and significance of community are fully comprehended and respected. Through our work, we aspire to foster a deeper understanding of how urban planners can positively impact and improve the places we call home.
